1. What MangoStudy is
MangoStudy is an independent VCE exam tracker. It lets users save selected subjects, exam scores, mistakes, reviewed checkboxes, nicknames and colour-range preferences. MangoStudy is not affiliated with VCAA, any school, or any official exam body.
2. What information is collected
MangoStudy may collect and save:
- the email address used to create or log in to an account;
- a nickname or first name chosen by the user;
- selected VCE subjects;
- exam names, marks, percentages and totals entered by the user;
- mistakes or study notes entered by the user;
- reviewed-status checkboxes and score colour-range settings;
- basic technical information handled by hosting/auth providers, such as security logs needed to run the service.
3. Why this information is used
This information is used to create accounts, load each user's tracker, save study progress across devices, support password reset, keep the service secure and improve the reliability of MangoStudy.
4. Where information is stored
Account login is handled by Supabase Auth. Tracker data is saved in a Supabase database. Some data may also be temporarily saved in the user's browser so the tracker can keep working smoothly on the same device.
5. Who can access information
MangoStudy uses account-based access rules so users should only be able to access their own tracker data. However, the MangoStudy owner may still have technical access to database records through Supabase for maintenance, safety, troubleshooting and deletion requests.
6. What users should not enter
Users should not enter school passwords, private login details, home addresses, medical information, highly personal information or anything they would not want the MangoStudy owner to potentially access for technical support or database maintenance.
7. Data deletion and account requests
Users can reset subject scores inside MangoStudy. For account deletion, database deletion, or privacy questions, contact the MangoStudy owner at mangostudyvce@gmail.com. Include the account email address so the correct account can be found.
8. Sharing and selling data
MangoStudy does not sell tracker data. Data is only used to run the tracker, provide account features and maintain the service.
9. Security
MangoStudy uses Supabase Auth and database access rules to help protect accounts and tracker data. No online service can guarantee perfect security, so users should use a unique password and avoid entering highly sensitive information.
10. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when MangoStudy changes. If the way MangoStudy collects or uses data changes significantly, the privacy policy should be updated before the changed version is shared publicly.
